Working as I often do with metal for the larger pieces – hoops and wire sculptures on stone and wood, I often have metal “left overs”, and have upcycled those into wearable art. A friend wanted a metal brooch, and that was so fun to create that I had to make more! They are in a wide variety of shapes, and meant to be worn with coarse knit shawls or scarves.
I have made them in treble clefs, celtic crosses, and even a drum set! If you have a particular theme you want in a brooch, let me know – I’m happy to try something new in wearable art.
As well, I have developed a series of copper bracelets – add colour to any outfit!
